Character In Progress

this is a character in the process of being designed in illustrator. I first do a simple sketch of the character, scan it in and then get to work in colouring the character. the process is simple, but it does depend on the character and how complex it is. I try and add textures and patterns to add effect to the characters appearance.

Here are more characters that I have created for the website. I may also do one or two changes to the characters but they are ready for me to get them going, ready to be animated. I may introduce more characters as the project progresses, but i'm not quite ready yet.

New layout of the homepage

This a new layout of the homepage. Not much has changed apart from the green planet has been replaced by a sign that tells the viewer to click on the purple planet to help them get to the next stage of the website.

Characters For The Website

Here are some of the finished characters that I am going to use in the website and in the underwater world. There are going to be more and I may change one or two things with the characters in terms of how they are going to be animated. Also there are more to come.

Website Flowchart

This is a flowchart showing how the viewer will navigate around the website. it shows that the start of the website will be in space which will be the homepage. The end point of the website will be the cave shop. Also, there will be a link to my blog and contacts and also each point of the website there will be a direct link back to the homepage. I have tried to produce the flowchart so that the viewer will be able to navigate around the website easily and without getting lost or stuck, because that can be very annoying! As this will only be for one world, there will be a limited amount of directions in which the viewer can go, but it will not dampen the ecitement of it!

Homepage Elements: Page Layout

This is the layout of the homepage. It shows how the homepage will look to the viewer (minus the white lines) The white lines represent in which direction the animations will be going. Other elements, like the planet and the moon and satelite will also be animated.

This a layout of the homepage and how it will look. The reason that there are more than one rocket and UFO is because the white lines show where the rocket and UFO will travel. Other elements like the sattelite and the moon will also be animated.

This the background for the homepage. The gradient was made on illustrator, my weapon of choice and the stars were made using spraypaint. It was good fun creating this background and it didnt take that much time at all. It looks quite good with the other elements.

These are the elements that are going to be animated for the homepage of the website. These animations will be happening at the same time on the homepage. There will also be a space style background that is going to be coming soon!!
